Note to Me and You: WallCaps & BackBlog

First off, thanks everyone who wished me for my birthday!!That's really sweet of you guys.=)

Next,I'd like to introduce my fellow Kwonholics to my WallCaps, something which I will be posting a lot in the future.Basically I will be doing Caps off whatever show or program that Kwon did or appeared on,and from those caps I will be making Wallpapers.Originally I planned to share only HD caps of Kwon that I did for these shows, but on a second thought I decided that it's annoying for me to be uploading the caps one by one (and I can go a bit crazy when I'm screen-capping,trust me)and I'd rather have them just combined together. And since I'm combining them together I might as well do easy PS works on them and make them applicable as Wallpapers. They are not going to be all artsy and high-quality,but hey at least they will make for good eye candy. My WallCaps would be something like this:

And lastly, I will also be practising Backdate-Blogging here at Passion For Kwon from now on.As we all know I only started this blog in early August, but the thing is I have been a dedicated fan of Kwon for a while now and just for his activities during 2010 so far I already have hundreds of photos, fancams etc in my collection and I plan to share them with everybody here.Well not that I haven't been doing BackBlogging already but I'm talking about entries that will be posted on the date that the event/show actually happened;for example photos for a 2AM Fansign session that happened on March 14th will be posted in an entry on that exact date, which will be wayy earlier then the date I actually opened the blog. But no worries, every time I update this blog with a BackBlog entry I will also post a link to the related entry on the current date that I'm doing it.I hope you guys will take the time to go back and read those entries too.An example of the link would be this:

Okay then,I hope you guys will enjoy the blog and keep on loving Kwonnie!^^

10.10.03 Lim Jeong Hee feat. JoKwon - On The Way To Break Up @ InkiGayo

Kwonnie performed his duet with Lim Jeong Hee for the second time today on InkiGayo, and I loved it SO much!!

It seems like Angelet members were at the studio the whole day to give support to Kwon today, and I applaud those dedicated fans for always being there for him - despite the lack of sleep and not yet fully recovered from his cold he was in a much better mood thanks to them;Kwonnie even tweeted about this earlier today. For today's performance Kwon was part of the pre-recorded lineup(unlike the performance on Music Bank) and because of this I already had some wistful  imaginations of how nice the set for his stage was going to be,but indeed when I saw the performance I was completely awed - the set was marvellous!

I don't think I need to write any explanation regarding the set for this performance when we can see how fantastic it was from the caps. One of my biggest regret(?) for this song - other than the default factor that it was not meant to be officially promoted when it is actually such a good song - would be the fact that  no proper music video was shot for it.The song with it's melancholic lyrics would have been the perfect setting for a melodramatic music video to be created;in fact when the teaser for this duet song was released remember how they attached that image of Kwon sullenly turning back at the top of the staircase to look at something/someone?

I originally thought that there was going to be an official music video for this duet based on that short scene on the teaser and one of the scenarios that went true my head was scenes of both J.Lim (or another actress) and Kwon at their own respective places getting ready to get on their way to do what they wanted to do;one wanting to break up while the other finally confessing his ultimate love.Since that didn't work out the way I had hoped it would I' guess I should thank the people of InkiGayo for producing such a detailed set for this performance as it was basically a mini music video(for lack of a better phrase) for the song itself.

As for the performance,I was really impressed with how perfectly their voices blended when they were singing it individually the whole time; not an easy task to do when you're supposed to be singing a duet. There were no eye contact or even a shared space between the two singers for the entire duration of the performance yet their voices came together as one beautifully and as a huge fan of the song I was thoroughly satisfied.Guess that just shows how good they really are as ballad singers.

My favourite Kwon : the JoKwon who sings so passionately on stage

And not surprisingly there was no trace whatsoever of the oppresed-looking Kwonnie from yesterday's rainy show;he really is THE consummate pro isn't he?I thought the hair, makeup and even his outfit for today's performance was PERFECT - he looked like some kind of a Prince character out of a manhwa/manga or something.Just gorgeous. And I must compliment J.Lim's outfit too; I thought the romantic style fits the song much better than her chosen style for Would Never Be Real and she actually matched Kwon's style this time around and it makes up for a more suitable ambience for the song.Overall I was really pleased that what would probably be the final performance of this song was done wonderfully and that the stage was given such a treatment, and now the only small wish I have would be for the duet to be sung in it's full version(and not shortened) someday.

And after Kwon was done with singing this sad ballad so wholeheartedly that it makes you wanna cry when you watched it,he went back to being the cute, animated and forever energetic Energizer Bunny that is InkiGayo MC KkapKwon. The way that he does everything so effortlessly is just so..JoKwon.That's right, there would never be another quite like you Kwonnie.=)

And for the good people of InkiGayo, please make sure there will be another great (if not better) stage set for 2AM when they make their comeback in a bit.Thanks.

10.09.24 Lim Jeong Hee - Would Never Be Real MV Teaser starring JoKwon.. & the Afterthoughts

And the teaser is finally revealed.

At exactly 12:01 am today Big Hit Entertainment revealed the first teaser for Lim Jeong Hee's title track off the Mini Album for her comeback entitled "Would Never Be Real" and it is officially publicized now that the main male actor for the music video is JoKwon of 2AM.

Although it had been hinted a while back in the "On The Road to Break Up" teaser that Kwon will indeed be starring in a music video,it was never made clear for which music video it was going to be.Originally I had thoughts and hopes that it will be for the song OTWTBU itself but after Big Hit released the Recording Session MV for that song I realized that it had to be for Lim Jeong Hee's title track and not the duet. But who knows, maybe Hitman Bang has some other twists up his sleeve about this?Only time will tell.

But let's not get side-tracked here.Let us focus on the most important thing right now - how breathtakingly amazing JoKwon is in the teaser. How different, yet still very much the same. How just when you think you've known enough about him he keeps on surprising you with new sides that you've only thought might exist within him;a new depth of his persona.

That he can become what he became in the music video is somewhat a personal satisfaction for me.As a fan,it sometimes pain me when I heard of how people think of JoKwon as only what they've seen on certain tv shows, or that those few minutes clips of him dancing kkap is all there is to him.It is sad when people forget that there are more dimensions to the guy than those mere moments they chanced upon him. They forgot than beyond the image of KkapKwon there could possibly be a soulful, extremely talented young man with an intelligent, matured personality who has experienced the ups and downs of life in more ways you can imagine; a person who had at one point had became so jaded he refused to allow new people he meet into his heart because he had felt too much hurt by doing that, and a person who despite all the crappy things he went through somehow still managed to bring a positive energy to the people surrounding him and were always looking up to him for strength, guidance and confidence. And a guy who always give his best at something he's doing.

I won't talk much about how handsome he is in the teaser because he does look very handsome. And I won't spazz too long about how that beautiful suit fits him like a dream because it really does. And I don't think I need to explain how that look he has in the teaser had shaken the hearts of Noona fans everywhere (yours truly included) because it did..overwhelmingly.Okay..so maybe I will be doing those exact things sometimes later. At the moment though all I want to do is to share the sentiments that this little teaser felt like some sort of a small victory for myself.Because it made people questioned if  the JoKwon they see in the teaser is the very same guy who excellently danced a parody to Miss A's song earlier this evening.Because it made some other people uncomfortable and questioned themselves, wondering if that JoKwon should be doing this kind of thing when he should just dance Kkap all the time.

On the day that he finished working on this MV, JoKwon tweeted  photos of his bloated hands and feet after he was done and was finally heading home. Obviously it was a result of all those long underwater shooting. Was it around 3am Korean time?Or was it at 2am?I can't recall it exactly but it was definitely at an ungodly hour, signifying yet another day of non-stop working and no sleeping for our favourite guy. Some people who didn't get what he tweeted about was wondering if he's just being funny and weird(some point blank laughingly tweeted back to him asking if he's crazy) whereas the ones who did understand felt an unexplainable aching in their hearts - a mixture of feeling sorry that he has to work so hard when he doesn't really have to, feeling helpless that there's nothing to be done that could help him feel better, feeling pleased that he's given such a great chance to show off his personal talent,a feeling of respect and admiration at his professionalism and high-level commitment.

And this for me was the crystallizing moment that emphasizes how it would be to look at JoKwon only on the surface and accept whatever was presented to you and then rest easy, and what would happen if we take the time to look a little more closer at him, and the other different things we will discover about him then. And as somebody who had chosen to call herself a fan of Kwon,I am glad that this teaser is finally revealed and that Kwon gets a new opportunity to share with people another side of him that will allow people to learn more about him.

Kwon-ah,you've worked hard and you did well.Being your fan is like taking a plunge into the unknown, but it's okay because while I'm on this ride I have a feeling I won't ever be bored of it.Discovering more of you will be a journey I will enjoy to the very end, wherever that end may be.
