10.10.05 2AM JoKwon @ 2010 Asia Pacific Supermodel Contest

2AM and 2PM both performed at the Asia Pacific Supermodel Contest tonight, and 2AM performed 3 songs - This Song and Can't Let You Go Even If I Die which were aired on tv as part of the Congratulatory Stage and I Did Wrong which was not.The guys looked gorgeous in all-blacks though I did wish they were not wearing the "undercover" hat,it kinda ruined the overall look. But I guess I can't complain much since it's something necessary before every comeback and at least Kwon wasn't wearing one.One thing I can complain about though is the way that none of the cameras were focused on 2AM during Can't Let You Go Even If I Die,I mean granted that the models were parading away and it was their show but how about some courtesy to the singers you invited to perform at the event,SBS?Like hello,if you weren't going to show ANY of them singing so passionately you might as well play their CD as the background music for the models and it'd still be the same.*shakes head*

101005 2AM - I Did Wrong(unaired during broadcast)

There was a part where the OneDay guys were interviewing the Top 11 models and boy was I cringing,it was soo awkward to watch..lol.Although Kwon and 2PM's WooYoung can be exempted from those moments of weirdness;when it was his turn Kwon was already on full MC JoKwon-mode and his interview went so smoothly I thought I was watching Inkigayo for a second.Listen to the hearty roar from the crowd when Kwon came on for his interview!

Note to Me and You: WallCaps & BackBlog

First off, thanks everyone who wished me for my birthday!!That's really sweet of you guys.=)

Next,I'd like to introduce my fellow Kwonholics to my WallCaps, something which I will be posting a lot in the future.Basically I will be doing Caps off whatever show or program that Kwon did or appeared on,and from those caps I will be making Wallpapers.Originally I planned to share only HD caps of Kwon that I did for these shows, but on a second thought I decided that it's annoying for me to be uploading the caps one by one (and I can go a bit crazy when I'm screen-capping,trust me)and I'd rather have them just combined together. And since I'm combining them together I might as well do easy PS works on them and make them applicable as Wallpapers. They are not going to be all artsy and high-quality,but hey at least they will make for good eye candy. My WallCaps would be something like this:

And lastly, I will also be practising Backdate-Blogging here at Passion For Kwon from now on.As we all know I only started this blog in early August, but the thing is I have been a dedicated fan of Kwon for a while now and just for his activities during 2010 so far I already have hundreds of photos, fancams etc in my collection and I plan to share them with everybody here.Well not that I haven't been doing BackBlogging already but I'm talking about entries that will be posted on the date that the event/show actually happened;for example photos for a 2AM Fansign session that happened on March 14th will be posted in an entry on that exact date, which will be wayy earlier then the date I actually opened the blog. But no worries, every time I update this blog with a BackBlog entry I will also post a link to the related entry on the current date that I'm doing it.I hope you guys will take the time to go back and read those entries too.An example of the link would be this:

Okay then,I hope you guys will enjoy the blog and keep on loving Kwonnie!^^

10.10.04 J.Lim's Comeback Episode feat. JoKwon @ Music Bank

I love behind-the-scenes clips 'cause they give you a glimpse at stuffs you usually won't get to see unless you are part of the crew/staffs involved in a show. And I love this one even more because we get to see that serious and focused side of Kwon when he's working which is not the easiest thing to watch on TV,although there are always those moments where he's letting loose and freestylin' KkapKwon-style dancing to girl groups' song to ease the tension..lol.Remember that the performance of OTWTBU on Music Bank was performed and aired live and not pre-recorded?

I have always noticed this from all the various fanaccounts and fancams from the past year but Kwon really does take his sound checks and dry rehearsals VERY seriously.I still remember from an episode of WGM how upset he was when he missed his dry rehearsal for the debut performance of We Fell In Love on Music Core and it must be said here that it wasn't just for show. But that's what makes Kwon the person that he is,when it comes to work he is very serious but he also knows how to play hard when the opportunity arrives. And I think that's an important aspect to have in a person if somebody wants to stay sane in such a grueling and toxic environment like the entertainment industry.=)

10.10.03 MC Kwon @ InkiGayo

Your Music Energy!Live Show Inkigayo! LOL I love the part where Kwonnie was acting as Se7en's fan and of course his Dr.Jo segment, he was just too adorable today with the hat and that hair..and he never forgets his "Come on,baby" trademark line!Oh yeah Dr.Jo you can come over and give this Noona over here a treatment any time you want,kekeke..

And this one was really funny too, KkapKwon as Dr.Jo was supposed to be teaching CNBLUE's Jung YongHwa how to do thigh exercises but instead he ended up introducing him to the Kkap World..lol.They were jumping up and down really fast I can't even capture the moves properly.^^;;

Kwon and YongHwa parody-ing Se7en and his girlfriend actress Park Han Byul(Byul is Star in Korean).I have a feeling that the more they do InkiGayo together, the bigger possibility there is that they would be the best Pretty Boys Gagmen Duo in S.Korea soon(although Super Junior's EunHyuk and LeeTeuk probably will still hold that title for a while more)

JoKwon meets Se7en.So does that make a SeKwon?Or Jo7en?Geez look at that  sexy half-smirk..I go crazy when he does that! >.<

Se7en and his girl HanByul.Oops,I meant MC Kwon & MC YongHwa.Not only are they really pretty together, they could become quite the humorous gag combo too.Check out the huge star on MC YongHwa's head..lol.

Great job as always MC Kwon!Looking forward to watch Inkigayo next week cuz I have a feeling it's going to be something special.*winks*

10.10.03 Lim Jeong Hee feat. JoKwon - On The Way To Break Up @ InkiGayo

Kwonnie performed his duet with Lim Jeong Hee for the second time today on InkiGayo, and I loved it SO much!!

It seems like Angelet members were at the studio the whole day to give support to Kwon today, and I applaud those dedicated fans for always being there for him - despite the lack of sleep and not yet fully recovered from his cold he was in a much better mood thanks to them;Kwonnie even tweeted about this earlier today. For today's performance Kwon was part of the pre-recorded lineup(unlike the performance on Music Bank) and because of this I already had some wistful  imaginations of how nice the set for his stage was going to be,but indeed when I saw the performance I was completely awed - the set was marvellous!

I don't think I need to write any explanation regarding the set for this performance when we can see how fantastic it was from the caps. One of my biggest regret(?) for this song - other than the default factor that it was not meant to be officially promoted when it is actually such a good song - would be the fact that  no proper music video was shot for it.The song with it's melancholic lyrics would have been the perfect setting for a melodramatic music video to be created;in fact when the teaser for this duet song was released remember how they attached that image of Kwon sullenly turning back at the top of the staircase to look at something/someone?

I originally thought that there was going to be an official music video for this duet based on that short scene on the teaser and one of the scenarios that went true my head was scenes of both J.Lim (or another actress) and Kwon at their own respective places getting ready to get on their way to do what they wanted to do;one wanting to break up while the other finally confessing his ultimate love.Since that didn't work out the way I had hoped it would I' guess I should thank the people of InkiGayo for producing such a detailed set for this performance as it was basically a mini music video(for lack of a better phrase) for the song itself.

As for the performance,I was really impressed with how perfectly their voices blended when they were singing it individually the whole time; not an easy task to do when you're supposed to be singing a duet. There were no eye contact or even a shared space between the two singers for the entire duration of the performance yet their voices came together as one beautifully and as a huge fan of the song I was thoroughly satisfied.Guess that just shows how good they really are as ballad singers.

My favourite Kwon : the JoKwon who sings so passionately on stage

And not surprisingly there was no trace whatsoever of the oppresed-looking Kwonnie from yesterday's rainy show;he really is THE consummate pro isn't he?I thought the hair, makeup and even his outfit for today's performance was PERFECT - he looked like some kind of a Prince character out of a manhwa/manga or something.Just gorgeous. And I must compliment J.Lim's outfit too; I thought the romantic style fits the song much better than her chosen style for Would Never Be Real and she actually matched Kwon's style this time around and it makes up for a more suitable ambience for the song.Overall I was really pleased that what would probably be the final performance of this song was done wonderfully and that the stage was given such a treatment, and now the only small wish I have would be for the duet to be sung in it's full version(and not shortened) someday.

And after Kwon was done with singing this sad ballad so wholeheartedly that it makes you wanna cry when you watched it,he went back to being the cute, animated and forever energetic Energizer Bunny that is InkiGayo MC KkapKwon. The way that he does everything so effortlessly is just so..JoKwon.That's right, there would never be another quite like you Kwonnie.=)

And for the good people of InkiGayo, please make sure there will be another great (if not better) stage set for 2AM when they make their comeback in a bit.Thanks.

10.10.02 2AM JoKwon @ Citizen's Festival Photos

It's my birthday today and I had a lovely time but then I just had to read some depressing fanaccounts from the ChangWon event tonight.Kwon who still hasn't recovered from his cold had to perform on stage with heavy rain pouring on him,and according to fans who attended this is a first time where he gave practically NO fanservice to them and throughout the total of 3 stages that AM did for the show( 2 rehearsals+1 real performance) he smiled only ONCE,and it was only a small smile during introduction. It's almost like he wasn't even himself. And this the same JoKwon who tried and gave his all for everything that he does(and for Kwon the ultimate Profesional that he is -means smiling brightly onstage when greeting the crowd despite being sick, and being lively when a few hours ago you were just consoling your best friend at her father's funeral service) and the same Kwon who is a legend when it comes to fanservice! For him to be acting that way tonight,he must have been at his limits.Tsk,if fans prediction was right he probably didn't even sleep the whole night yesterday because of work,YET again and then you're telling me that today from 2pm straight until around 9pm he was having rehearsals and then singing in the rain?!

This was Kwon during rehearsals.Probably didn't want the fans to see his bloated eyes.T_T

And this was him during the real performance. Not much of a difference is there?Sobs.

Darn it,I am seriously worried and scared for him and the rest of the guys' health conditions. If everything is going according to plan they should be ready to go and shoot their new album cover and also music video for their title track soon, but at the rate they are going right now I just gonna try and think positive in hoping that NONE of them would just one day faint at any show set anywhere and then be hospitalized or something.Like seriously Big Hit Entertainment, don't think you think the guys are being a bit TOO overworked right now?Especially Kwon, who has the most amount of personal schedule out of all four of them.I'd understand it for certain tv shows where they are regular casts that it can't be avoided but what about all those festivals and events you guys keep sending them to perform at?Haven't they done enough for now?!Like,it's only about ONE month before their full album comeback, shouldn't they be resting and laying low and you know, build an air of mystery surrounding them or something?!I swear, during the promotions of Can't Let You Go Even If I Die Changminnie had a lot of tough days for his vocal conditions because of his lack of rest, and I do not want the same situation repeating again this time (especially since he is STILL doing gigs as part of HOMME) and especially not for our Kwonnie.

Please let Kwon have some rest now.Empty his schedule for like 3 days;3 straight days with nothing to do,at the very least..something that can give him a sense of taking a break from his workload.I want to see him gain some more weight before the comeback, and I want to see him sing those new songs in the best condition he could possibly be in.Kwon-ah please take good care of yourself, you know we fans love you right? My heart breaks looking at the lifeless Kwon in the photos tonight and I can't stand his blank gaze. You try so hard and put up smiling photos of yourself on your Twitter Kwonnie, but there are times when your fans can just tell. And this time..well I guess even JoKwon is human after all.

There are still no fancams from this event but even if there were I'm not sure I want to watch it.Fans who have it probably don't even have the heart to show it to other Kwonholics anyway.Sighs.

Damn this was an upsetting entry to write.

10.10.01 Lim Jeong Hee feat. JoKwon - On The Way To Break Up @ Music Bank + Photos

JoKwon performed On The Way To Break Up for the first time ever as part of Lim Jeong Hee's comeback stage on Music Bank today.Sadly they did not get to sing the song in full but it is understandable as the main focus of J.Lim's comeback performance should be on the amazing title track itself, not on her duet with Kwon.I personally consider it a bonus that fans actually get to see this song performed live considering the fact it was not a song that was officially promoted, but I guess it is worth mentioning that even without a proper promotion the duet song was at position no.16 on the KBS Music Bank chart, making it a legitimate song to be performed and not just as a fanservice or whatever. And not forgetting that this duet was also a song that managed an "all-kill" on the online music sites in Korea so soon after it was released, even overtaking songs by a certain very popular female idol group.

I was honestly worried for Kwon after knowing earlier in the day that his performance was going to be part of the live show line-up and not a pre-recorded stage because it has been mentioned that since returning from Jeju Island he has actually been down with cold/flu and has yet to recover. And considering the non-stop schedule he's been on since arriving in Seoul from Jeju I think I have every reason to worry about the quality of his overall performance and then there's also the fact he didn't actually have much chance to practice the duet with J.Lim prior to performing.

But of course, this is JoKwon we're talking about.Yet again, despite whatever circumstances there might have been behind the performance he never ever let it be shown that he was actually sick and instead deliver a wonderful performance as I was hoping he would. As usual Music Bank's audio quality and camera works left much to be desired for,but Kwon gave it his all.And to see him - an Idol singer who has only debuted for 2 years - singing passionately along such a talented, veteran vocalist like Lim Jeong Hee and not for one second got overshadowed or overpowered by her is such a prideful thing for a fan.Oh and have I mentioned how gorgeous and prince-ly looking he was in that suit he wore?It was not the look that I had envisioned for Kwon to have for this duet performance but who cares,at the end of the day it's JoKwon Wangjanim belting his heart out sadly yet beautifully and making me want to hug him tightly and never let him go  beside somebody he looks up to,someone who used to be his vocal trainer.. and he shone brightly the whole time he was doing it.

And here are some photos of Kwonnie arriving at the KBS building for his Music Bank scheduleAccording to eyewitnesses it was not a cold day out but look at how Kwon was dressed; all covered up and layered.Sigh.
